Ah, February. The longest, shortest month of them all. With freezing rain followed by sub-zero temps, the girls and I have been getting a little squirly inside. In addition, Mike has been gone the past 2 weekends for ice fishing tournaments, and Las Vegas ( such a nice wife, right?) I have found the perfect antidote to the pre-dinner witching hour by turning our living room into a disco! We plug into my itunes and let it all shake out- so fun and so funny to watch. And after twirling a 40 pounder and 30 pounder again and again, it proves to be quite the workout for me as well. This has become a daily ritual and the girls jump for joy at 4 pm when I shout "DANCE PARTY!" It has become popular with friends and neighbors who happen to be over for playdates at that time as well. So much so, I have been searching for disco balls and karoke machines on Craigs list and little friends happen to be calling and asking to come over and dance again! Maybe we should start charging a $5 cover and provide all you can drink apple juice. This could be quite profitable! I realized though I need to be careful about who plays dj because Emma stumbled upon my running playlist and before I know it she was singing something not intended for children (you spin my head right round, right round.....) Quite funny and innocent, although probabally inappropriate to see your five year old dancing to that one. Mike usually comes home sometime toward the end of this madness and I have yet to convince him to cut a rug with us. That's the beauty of the preschool set- the do not judge your moves and love to see you get jiggy with it!

We also have a new family member to introduce. Little Lucy Lou- or just Lucy, my parents new dog! She is a Havanese, a little white fluff ball. So cute and tiny. We are co-owners of this dog, and she has spent as much time at our house as my parents. The girls love her and she loves Sunny (Sunny hasn't made up her mind about her yet.) When my parents travel, she will be o
ur pups. We love her and are having a lot of fun with her. Another great way to pass these winter days.
