February actually flew by this year with lots of fun. Mike took a couple trips up north for ice fishing, visited Vegas with his family, and I also had a girls weekend away to San Diego. It was wonderful to reconnect with my 2 bestest friends in the whole world and enjoy some running, surfing, good food, wine and laughs. Oh and uninterrupted sleep! Wonderful.
The girls are doing well. Getting big and growing older by the minute. We attended Emma's Kindergarten registration and Abby is all signed up for preschool for next year. I know it will be a mixed bag of emotions watching her go off on the bus this fall. It feels like just yesterday she was coming home from the hospital! She is so ready and was thrilled when the teachers gave her "homework" to work on before attending school in the fall. She takes it very seriously and has already completed it- an alphabet book with upper and lowercase letters and a picture of something that begins with that letter. We are not sure if she will be 1/2 or full day yet. It is a lottery at our school. Either way, we are fine with it. She still gets VERY tired being at school a full day on Fridays so we'll see..... Lucy has become a permanent member of our family. She enjoyed her time at our house so much while nana and papa were on vaca. that she just sulked around thier house when they returned. We love her too (minus her "presents" she leaves us on the carpet!) and the girls and Sunny love playing with her. If we could just get the housetraining down, that would be nice. I decided we could try to start potty training Abby too. So with a puppy and a potty trainer in our house, I think I will win the argument for wood flooring or new carpet by next year or two!
